Feature.fm collects your fans' emails. Then charges you to read them.
This isn't an opinion. It's a row in their pricing table, and we've linked it below.
Feature.fm — “Fanbase Management”

Their free plan, in their own words: “Collect unlimited emails, upgrade to access emails.” A fan types their address into a form on the artist's page — and the artist can't see it.

The email is the only thing you actually own
A stream pays you about $0.003, and hands the listener to Spotify, who will never tell you their name. A follower belongs to an algorithm that can throttle you tomorrow. An email address is the only asset in this business you keep.
Every tool in this category knows that — it's why they all put a capture form on your page. The question is what happens next. Feature.fm collects the address, stores it, and shows it to you when you pay $39 a month.
We think a list you have to rent back is not a list you own. So on git-royal the capture is free, the full list is visible on the free plan, and the CSV export button works whether you pay us or not. Your fans' addresses are not our leverage over you.

The back office, on the same bill
The list is yours
Free capture, free access, free CSV export — on the free plan. We store your fans' addresses on your behalf. We are the processor; you are the controller. That's not marketing, it's on our privacy page.
Royalties, splits and a store
Upload a distributor statement and get a readable report. Split it with the people who played on it. Sell the beat at 0% commission through your own Stripe.
A page they can play
The Experience lander turns your 30-second clip into eight pads a fan can actually perform — from the MP3 you already uploaded. Nobody else has anything like it.
The questions you're about to ask
Is git-royal's free plan the same trick?+
No, and you can check in about a minute. Sign up, publish a page, turn on Become a Fan, and the moment someone joins you can see the address and download the CSV. No tier, no cap, no 'upgrade to access'. Pro ($12/mo) buys the retargeting audience builder, ROAS, fatigue alerts, royalties and advanced design — it does not buy access to your own fans.
Can I move my Feature.fm list over?+
If you're on their Pro plan ($39/mo) you can export it, and you can import it wherever you like. If you're on a cheaper plan, you can't — which is rather the point of this page. We can't get your emails out of Feature.fm for you; nobody can.
Do I lose the pre-save if I switch?+
Our pre-save is Spotify-only and in limited beta — a handful of slots while Spotify reviews our app for extended quota — and it is free, on the free plan. Feature.fm paywalls theirs. Everything else on this page is live today and costs nothing: the fan list, the CSV export, the Meta pixel, server-side CAPI and TikTok Events.
What about the pixel?+
Free on every git-royal plan, including the free one — the browser pixel AND server-side Meta CAPI, plus TikTok's Events API from the same page. Feature.fm gives you no retargeting pixel at all on Free, one on the $8 plan, two on $19. Measurement is table stakes in this category; charging for it just loses the comparison.
Why is git-royal cheaper?+
Because we don't sell you access to your own data, and we're not a nine-year-old company with a sales team. Pro is $12/mo and buys the things that cost us money to run: the audience builder that calls Meta's Marketing API, the ad-health checks, the royalty parsing. Everything that's just a database row is free.
Build one and look at the fan list.
Paste any Spotify or Apple Music link and the page assembles itself — artwork, every platform, a preview. No account, no card. Then sign up and watch the first email land somewhere you can actually read it.
Or read the pricing. It's one page and there's nothing hidden in it.
